I grew up speaking Spanish at home and English at school. Spent 10 years in corporate marketing, translating between the C-suite and the creative team — and between English-speaking headquarters and Latin American offices.
My card — The Bridge — said "You stand between worlds. You speak languages that don't have dictionaries." For the first time, someone framed my in-between-ness as a skill, not an identity crisis.
The plan told me to build a bilingual business coaching practice focused on Latino entrepreneurs in Austin who need help navigating English-language business systems — banking, contracts, marketing, legal.
Day 10, I hosted a free workshop at a community center. Twelve people showed up. Day 16, three of them signed up for 1-on-1 coaching at $150/month each. By the end of month 1, I had $1,900 from coaching and one paid workshop.
It's not just the money. It's that I found a business that actually needs both halves of who I am. For the first time in my career, I'm not code-switching. I'm just working.
Month 3: $3,800/month. Looking at adding group coaching next quarter.
